Preliminary task Learner Response

 WWW: Some planning posted to blog which is positive. The main issue is that the production was completed before the preliminary exercise was set which also felt more like a vlog review of the product rather than a stereotypical advert. You did capture footage in the gym that you could have edited. It would have been far better in terms of editing and practicing using Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 in preparation for your real coursework.

EBI: You need to meet deadlines when it comes to Media coursework. Post your completed preliminary exercise to your blog for feedback.

LR: Complete the missing work as outlined above. Then, write what you are planning to make for your real coursework next. Will you choose to make the 2 video adverts or 3 print adverts? This is a very important decision so explain the reason for what you have chosen.

For my real coursework next, I am planning to do a print advert as I find that easy instead of making a video and then edit it on the software as I am not quite familiar with the editing program so I will choose 3 print adverts as I can also do a rough sketch on it which will allow me to complete my real coursework as I am more of a designing,sketching than a editing video.

  Reception Theory 1. The preferred reading of a media text is that it can get the audience to feel a certain way and be influenced by their reading so that they can carry out their message by using codes and conventions. 2. The Oppositional reading of a media text is that it is going against what the producers are creating it does not give the positive message that it wants and can put the audience in a difficult position as if they should change their view or not. 3. The Harry Brown trailer wants the audience to respond to the teenage characters in the film to think that the kids are misbehaving which leads them to commit bad things such as crime, and drugs because of the influences around them and around their environment.
