Doctor Who and His Dark Materials help the BBC to meet the BBC`s remit to inform, educate and entertain by involving science fiction which has different dimensions, powers and knowledge that people who are interested in Science may enjoy. It also entertains audience as there is a lot of fantasy and magic involved to make the audience feel more interested and can make them more imaginative.
