2. What is conglomerate ownership and how does it link to Black Widow?
Conglomerate ownership is that owns a range of smaller companies(called subsidiaries). An example of this is Disney owning Marvel. It links to Black Widow because we know that Disney is a media conglomerate that owns a substantial amount of other companies across a range of cultural industries.

3, Analyse the film trailer for Black Widow. What aspects of the trailer tell you this is a big-budget blockbuster movie?
From the trailer, we can tell this is a big-budget blockbuster movie because of the use of technology special costume equipment, CGI, and artificial intelligence. Black Widow also has so many well-known actors and actresses that their income was $2.4 billion in 2017. When the trailers start the way that they had edited they must have paid someone to do a great job on it so that they look more interesting, the high quality so that you can see everything, and it is not poor so not blurry. Also, the different locations that they filmed at are in different cities and countries so it is not only filmed in 1 part of that place but has a variety of options to choose from.

4.  How was Black Widow promoted to an audience? List at least three different methods used by the film's marketing campaign and why they were effective in promoting the film.
  • Most mainstream films and blockbusters will use Star power to attract audiences to their film for example the main star in Black Widow is Scarlett Johannsson who is very well known.
  • Film trailers were released on Youtube and in cinemas this is because they want a lot of people to watch it and so if they post it they can attract more audience engagement.
  • Section of the Marvel website with gallery, story synopsis, character posters, and opportunities to buy or stream the movie. This is because people will be more interested in what they can get and if you have a Marvel lover fan base then they are more keen to buy the products that are being sold and therefore they would get more profit by paying for the movie it gives them the best experience.
5. What was the production budget for Black Widow and how much did it make at the box office?
The production budget for Black Widow was $200m and it only made £379m at the worldwide box office due to the pandemic.

6. Would you consider Black Widow a successful Hollywood blockbuster? Why?
I would consider Black Widow a bit of both because yes they spent a lot of money, time, and effort to make the movie such a hit but due to the COVID pandemic, this really affected a lot of things such as fans meeting actors, podcasts, talk shows. As with the pandemic, people were not being able to really go to the cinema so they would have less audience attention and ticket sales.

The British Board of Film Classification (BBC) regulates the film industry in the UK.
8. What age rating was Black Widow given? Why?
The age rating that Black Widow was given was 12A  no one under the age of 12 can see the movie without an adult because it was deemed to have moderate violence, and injury detail, yet was not too graphic

9.  Look at the Marvel Black Widow website. How does the website help to promote the film? Give specific examples from the website and how they appeal to the audience.
The website helps to promote the film as soon as you open the page you go straight to the Marvel homepage and see how well it is designed also it gives u an overview a small summary of what it is about, the release date some pictures that were taken from the gallery, the characters name and information about them, character posters, Books, DVDs and lastly they have a subscription where you can pay for a month and get it free to watch it.

 10. Read this feature on Marvel using a fan's tweet to help market the film. Why is audience interaction such an important aspect of modern film marketing? 
Audience interaction is such an important aspect of modern film marketing because they want their audience to give reviews and give honest opinions on how the movie was, and feedback on what they did not like so they can improve on that. If the actor has a social media account they can also promote the movie and this will get more attention which will then go viral where so many people can see this.
